In June 2021, the team donated £3200 to Heart Centre at Northampton General Hospital.
Adkins giving something back
Each year, Rob and his family take a day to fundraise for a different charity. This year they chose the Heart Centre at Northampton General Hospital who have looked after loved ones of theirs and ours over the years.
The Adkin’s family conducted a raffle, provided afternoon tea in the garden serving over 90 tea’s and a further 80 were collected and delivered – all COVID safe of course! In total the Adkin’s were delighted to celebrate that they raised £3,200.00 in total – absolutely amazing efforts and dedication. Even a member of our team at Northampton won a prize on the raffle!
The hard work and dedication of Rob and his family meant they could raise such a fantastic amount and the team here very much look forward to supporting the family year after year with their fundraising.

Neil Sidebottom Giving Something Back
At JLR Northampton we work and support Cynthia Spencer who is a local Hospice charity, they provide a range of different care to those with life limiting illnesses.
We fundraise for the charity and are recognised as one of the many local companies they work with to assist with the running costs of the hospital.
This month, Neil Sidebottom gave up his own time in the sunshine to help fundraise for them. Neil truly has a good heart to give up his day off to work with the carers to support in fundraising. A true act of selflessness from Neil, which we recognise, well done Neil!
In September 2019, the team donated £91.06 to Cynthia Spencer Hospice.
Sales Event September 2019
Every year Guy Salmon Land Rover Northampton choose a theme to make their Sales Event a little bit special, with everyone dressing up and raising money for their chosen charity ‘Cynthia Spencer Hospice’. The theme this time was Hawaiian with everyone dressing up in holiday shirts, hula outfits and bringing all the summer vibes to finish the Summer. There was a BBQ for customers and staff to enjoy and lots of inflatable palm trees and games around the showroom.
All of the excitement managed to raise £91.06 for Cynthia Spencer.
In February 2019, the team donated £79 to Dementia UK.
118 118 Team at Jaguar Northampton.
One of our Sales Executives, Lester Cann, decided to run the Manchester Marathon for Dementia UK in April 2019. To help raise more money for his chosen charity, the sales team decided to dress up as the 118 118 runners during their Sales Event in February to raise additional donations for Lester’s challenge.
Lester managed to raise a huge £783.61 altogether with donations made to his Just Giving page and donations raised from the sales event, which spurred him on to complete the 26.2 miles in a little over 4hours.
Well done Lester!
In May 2019, the team donated 1 working days to St Christopher's Care Home.
The JLR Northampton Team at St Christopher's Care Home
We were approached by St Christopher’s Care Home, as we had previously mentioned that we would love to help them if they needed volunteers throughout the year for any project.
A team of 10 volunteers from Guy Salmon Northampton volunteered to plant Bedding Plants in the landscaped grounds of Abington Park Crescent Care Home on Friday 3rd May. The team helped plant over 3000 Bedding Plants into their borders and flower pots around the 4 acre grounds, so the residents could enjoy looking upon the gardens from their rooms or to enjoy walking around them.
The residents were thrilled and have invited us back for Apple picking later in the year.
In July 2019, the team donated 1 working days to Cynthia Spencer Hospice.
The team putting together the Cermaic Forget-Me-Nots
A few members of the team from Guy Salmon Jaguar Land Rover Northampton spent the day helping their chosen charity partner ‘Cynthia Spencer Hospice’ create a Forget-me-not display at Castle Ashby. They put together the ceramic flowers and planted them in the grasses within the grounds of the beautiful castle for a dramatic display.
Cynthia Spencer Hospice provides specialist palliative care services for South Northamptonshire, our sister hospice, Cransley Hospice provides similar services for the North of the county. At Cynthia Spencer Hospice they provide inpatient care, outpatient services, Hospice@Home, lymphoedema service and palliative care clinical nurse specialist service.
The ceramic forget-me-nots are available for sale on the Cynthia Spencer website and all proceeds will go towards the fundraising for the hospice. They will be displayed in the Arboretum (tree garden) at Castle Ashby from Saturday 6th July until Sunday 14th July for people to visit. Once the display is over people that have purchase their ceramic flowers will be sent them or have them available to collect from the Cynthia Spencer Donation Station in Moulton Park.
There’s still time to purchase a flower and donate via the link. https://cynthiaspencershops.ecwid.com/Forget-Me-Not-p132950077
