In October 2019, the team donated £100 to Cancer Research.
After months and months dedicated to training Charlie took part in the ultra MMA at UWE Filton for Cancer Research. It’s a great event, Charlie even manages to win against his opponent. Thank you to everyone for your support!
In December 2019, the team donated £175 to Brandon Trust Yew Tree Farm.
This year for our Guy Salmon Bristol Raffle we decided to donate the money raised to a local Charity that was recently broken into and had a lot of there tools and money that they had been raised from selling Christmas Trees stolen! They are a charity farm for people with learning disabilities and autism. A range of different activities are carried out on the site, from looking after animals to a wood workshop making items to sell in their shop and a market garden where again they grow and sell the produce. It is a fantastic trust and we were very proud to give them £175.
In November 2019, to Keynsham Food Bank.
This Christmas we wanted to give something back to people in food crisis this winter, so we decided to give to our local food bank. We successfully managed to fill up 2 boxes of food as well as essential toiletries. We then hand delivered it to them, they were very grateful for our donation.
In September 2019, the team donated £91.06 to Cynthia Spencer Hospice.
Sales Event September 2019
Every year Guy Salmon Land Rover Northampton choose a theme to make their Sales Event a little bit special, with everyone dressing up and raising money for their chosen charity ‘Cynthia Spencer Hospice’. The theme this time was Hawaiian with everyone dressing up in holiday shirts, hula outfits and bringing all the summer vibes to finish the Summer. There was a BBQ for customers and staff to enjoy and lots of inflatable palm trees and games around the showroom.
All of the excitement managed to raise £91.06 for Cynthia Spencer.
In February 2019, the team donated £79 to Dementia UK.
118 118 Team at Jaguar Northampton.
One of our Sales Executives, Lester Cann, decided to run the Manchester Marathon for Dementia UK in April 2019. To help raise more money for his chosen charity, the sales team decided to dress up as the 118 118 runners during their Sales Event in February to raise additional donations for Lester’s challenge.
Lester managed to raise a huge £783.61 altogether with donations made to his Just Giving page and donations raised from the sales event, which spurred him on to complete the 26.2 miles in a little over 4hours.

The Great JLR Bristol Bake off
Inspired by the ‘Great British Bake off’, we decided to hold our own event for charity and chose to donate the funds to Kidney Research UK, as 2 members of our team have been affected and supported by the cause. We set a date and invited bakers to come forward and for those who baking wasn’t their thing, we also asked for Judges. The competition was held in the reception area which meant that the team and customers could all be involved. This sparked a great interest and we sold lots of cakes to raise awareness and money for our chosen charity.
In August 2019, the team donated £1044 to Teenage Cancer Trust.
Joe Clarke and his partner Maisie completed the Jane Tomlinson York 10k Run in aid of their chosen charity The Teenage Cancer Trust a charity close to Joe’s heart after he was diagnosed with Hodgkins Non Lymphoma back in 2017. Joe received an enormous amount of support from the charity and wanted to give as much back to the people in a similar situation having now been in remission for 1 year!
In August 2019, the team donated £250 to RSPCA.
Christine Berresford our Health and Safety/Training Manager bravely took to the skies to perform a 10,000′ Sky Dive in aid of the RSPCA.
In July 2019, the team donated £500 to ACE Camphill Community.
The team from Guy Salmon Land Rover Wakefield kindly donated one of their own Land Rover Experience Day’s for ACE Camphill Community’s Summer Fair they raised £500 selling raffle tickets on the day.

The JLR Northampton Team at St Christopher's Care Home
We were approached by St Christopher’s Care Home, as we had previously mentioned that we would love to help them if they needed volunteers throughout the year for any project.
A team of 10 volunteers from Guy Salmon Northampton volunteered to plant Bedding Plants in the landscaped grounds of Abington Park Crescent Care Home on Friday 3rd May. The team helped plant over 3000 Bedding Plants into their borders and flower pots around the 4 acre grounds, so the residents could enjoy looking upon the gardens from their rooms or to enjoy walking around them.
The residents were thrilled and have invited us back for Apple picking later in the year.
In August 2019, the team donated £3500 to Seebos Fundraiser.
Seebo
Earlier this year we sadly lost a valued member of our team Seebo who lost his battle with cancer Seebo was only 29 and left behind a young family and caring friends, who decided to raise some money for his family. Hi colleague held a raffle whereby people were asked to buy a box to win a prize. The team set up a go fund me page, alongside many more activities raising a huge £3500.00 and rising – Well done all

The Great 8 Abseil for Seebo
The Great 8 decided to get together and take on Avon Gorge for an Abseil to raise money for our colleague Seebo who sadly lost his battle with cancer earlier this year he was only 29 leaving behind a young family .

The team putting together the Cermaic Forget-Me-Nots
A few members of the team from Guy Salmon Jaguar Land Rover Northampton spent the day helping their chosen charity partner ‘Cynthia Spencer Hospice’ create a Forget-me-not display at Castle Ashby. They put together the ceramic flowers and planted them in the grasses within the grounds of the beautiful castle for a dramatic display.
Cynthia Spencer Hospice provides specialist palliative care services for South Northamptonshire, our sister hospice, Cransley Hospice provides similar services for the North of the county. At Cynthia Spencer Hospice they provide inpatient care, outpatient services, Hospice@Home, lymphoedema service and palliative care clinical nurse specialist service.
The ceramic forget-me-nots are available for sale on the Cynthia Spencer website and all proceeds will go towards the fundraising for the hospice. They will be displayed in the Arboretum (tree garden) at Castle Ashby from Saturday 6th July until Sunday 14th July for people to visit. Once the display is over people that have purchase their ceramic flowers will be sent them or have them available to collect from the Cynthia Spencer Donation Station in Moulton Park.

Guy Salmon Jaguar Land Rover Northampton have been working with the local Hospice, Cynthia Spencer for the last three years by supporting various campaigns and helping fundraise whenever they can.
In April 2019, the team donated £1252.94 and 1.5 working days to The Elizabeth Foundation.
Guy Salmon Portsmouth supports the Elizabeth Foundation, a local charity with fantastic facilities for deaf children. The charity hosted their first Easter Community Fun Day to raise awareness.
Charlie Wells, Business Administrator was the first on hand to rally apprentices to help set up gazebos and tables beforehand and then she hosted the Alpaca Walks for the day. It was great fun and a successful day which raised an amazing £1252.94.
